Ninya Mikhaila (author) has been making reconstructions of historic costumes for museums and heritage sites since 1988. She established her business in 1994 after gaining a Higher National Diploma in Costume Interpretation at the London College of Fashion. She has been the principal maker for JMD&Co since then. Other clients include Historic Royal Palaces, The Royal Armouries, The National Trust, English Heritage, The National Archives and Gainsborough’s House. Ninya also led Nottingham University’s recent course in the social history of Tudor dress. Ninya is married to Michael Perry, they live in Nottingham with their two young daughters. |

Caroline Johnson (researcher) is co-director of JMD&Co and was responsible for researching and supervising the reproduction costumes used at Hampton Court Palace and other historic sites from 1992 to 2004. Caroline specialises in research into documentary evidence and primary sources on Tudor costume. Caroline is a former trustee of The Costume Society, has been chairman of the Southern Counties Costume Society and now serves as secretary. |

Lucy Capito Lucy spent more than a decade as a full-time costumed guide with JMD&Co at Hampton Court Palace, specialising in the Tudor and Georgian eras. She also interpreted Roman Britain in Dover and the 1930s for Kensington Palace. She now works freelance, doing research into the history of costume with The Tudor Tailor as well as dressing up. Perhaps the highlight of her career is representing Queen Elizabeth in a presentation about her wardrobe, which requires a gown weighing 18lbs! |

Michael Perry (illustrator) has worked as a designer for Games Workshop since 1978. As a freelance illustrator he has provided the colour plates for eight Osprey Men at Arms and Campaign Series reference books. In 1995 Michael was commissioned to paint 15th century scenes for the interpretation of Newark Castle. He runs Perry Miniatures, a company making 28mm historical figures for collectors, with his brother Alan. In 2009, through Perry Miniatures Michael illustrated and published The First Carlist War by Conrad Cairns. He is married to Ninya Mikhaila, they live in Nottingham with their two young daughters. |

Henrietta Clare (photographer) is an archaeologist who specialises in photographing landscapes and still life (including clothing and fashion accessories). A member of the British Institute of Professional Photography, she became a licenciate of the Royal Photographic Society in 2000. Henrietta was a costumed interpreter at Hampton Court Palace from 1998 to 2001. |
