Replica Tudor Pewter Herzog Buttons for Renaissance/Elizabethan Reenactment
We're thrilled to offer a variety of reproduction buttons made exclusively for The Tudor Tailor by Michael Perry. All are based on original sources and are cast in lead-free pewter. They are sold in boxes of 12.
This particular design is based on worked thread buttons on an extant doublet in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Nurnberg, worn by Herzog Moritz von Sachsen-Larenburg 1605-10. This doublet was illustrated in Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion, The Cut and Construction of Clothes for Men and Women c1560-1620.
These buttons are 10mm in diameter by 10mm tall.
Please note, the photo with the black background shows various button styles we offer and is only for reference. This listing is for 12 matching buttons of a single style.
